Short Term Missions Trip Coordinator
Mission Statement
To plan well organized, purposeful mission trips in order to introduce the vision of the ministry of RIMI and make known the work of God and the needs in India to North American churches and organizations. RIMI is committed to promoting World Missions as an act of obedience to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.
Qualifications
- A self motivated, born-again, mature Christian
- Able to implement the vision of short term missions and inspire others to get involved in short term missions
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities (not all inclusive)
- Travel around the US and Canada representing the ministry to churches,
schools and groups to inspire interest in short term ministry opportunities
- Represent the ministry at Missions related trade shows
- Help recruit 120 people a year to travel to India on short term mission trips.
- Plan at least one trip to India per month
- Coordinate the application process for each person traveling
- Check references for each traveler
- Assist travelers with Visa application process
- Prepare detailed itinerary for each trip and coordinate with the Indian staff at various locations.
- Recruit and train trip leaders
Compensation
This person will be responsible for raising their own support as a full time missionary to India. 5% of all monies paid toward short term missions trips will be used to offset traveling expenses. No benefits are available at this time.
